{"id":2682,"date":"2025-12-04T11:16:14","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T10:16:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meristem.com\/en\/?post_type=productos&#038;p=2682"},"modified":"2025-12-04T11:20:06","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T10:20:06","slug":"kafom-k","status":"publish","type":"productos","link":"https:\/\/www.meristem.com\/en\/products\/kafom-k\/","title":{"rendered":"Kafom K"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KAFOM K is a systemic fungicide effective against <em>Phytophthora<\/em> spp. and <em>Plasmopara viticola<\/em>, acting preventively and curatively through a dual mode of action.<br \/>\nOn one hand, the product has an indirect mode of action: following application, potassium phosphonate activates the plant&#8217;s defense system by inducing phytoalexin synthesis, inhibiting spore germination and fungal development.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the product can act directly by inhibiting germination and fungal growth in the plant.<\/p>\n<p>It can be applied both via foliar spray and root irrigation. Once absorbed, it moves rapidly through the plant via both xylem (upward) and phloem (downward), enhancing systemic effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration<\/strong>: Plant Protection Product. This product must be registered prior to its commercialization.
